Hey guys, just sitting here actually thinkin’ some deep thoughts (for once).
The idea has always been interesting to me. Earlier today, I was thinking about something. Now, first of all, I believe in an afterlife. To be more specific, a heaven and a hell. Now, know this, the bible tells us that when you die, you will go to either place. No ifs ands or buts about it. There’s no in between.
But, the only thing is, there are people who are psychic and say they can speak to spirits who have passed. But see, this is where things go horribly askew.
Before I go any farther, let’s look at this situation. You have two possibilities and one constant. The one constant is that assumption that when people die, your spirit raises from your now dead carcas and does what ever it does. The two possibilities are that 1) You go to heaven or hell and 2) You float around in another dimension doing your ghostly thing.
This is the conflict. If you go to Heaven or Hell, how can anybody speak to these dead people? Once these people have passed and have gone to either destination, they’re gone for good. They can’t come back from either place to communicate with you, which means that when a psychic talks to a being from the “other side”, it’s not your friend or family memeber at all. That alone is a creepy thought. In that case, WHO are you talking to? Or WHAT?
But if the individual has passed, and they can communicate with you via some psychic medium, that means that the individual has NOT gone to either place. What does that mean?
